Horoscope of Australia
The
Commonwealth of
Australia was pronounced
on 1 January 1901 at close to 1:35 PM in Sydney. Of all the countries
in the
world, Australia has one of the truly great horoscopes. The Archillies
Heel of the country is its penchant for rampant speculation and risk
taking (Jupiter 180°
Neptune), which
is
responsible for driving up house prices to ridiculous
levels. This is what
the
Australian horoscope shows:
Sun
conjunct (0°)
Saturn. This means Australia
acts with
decisiveness, determination and perseverance. She truly has the ability
to
maintain her position in the world. It also explains why its people
have an
inferiority (Saturn) complex.
Mars
45° Pluto and
Uranus. This shows
Australia attaining great objectives by an immense application of
effort and
energy. It shows a people very much out of the ordinary, with touches
of
genius. It explains why Australians are assertive, “in your
face”,
aggressive,
blunt, powerful and are the greatest sportsmen on Earth. Australia
cowers to no
one.
Mercury
conjunct (0°)
Jupiter. This
shows successful businessmen, scientists and orators. Also common
sense, a
constructive intellect and optimism abound in its people.
Jupiter
180° Neptune.
This explains
why Australians are often misunderstood by others. It makes us dreamers
and
speculators, and often wasteful (we produce four times more greenhouse
gases
per head of population than Europeans do). This is called the
“ lucky
syndrome”
in astrology, which seems appropriate for the so-called lucky country.
Australians are speculators and spendthrifts on a massive
scale.
Venus
conjunct (0°)
Uranus. This
produces world-class artists and makes Australians extravagant (sadly
with
respect to Climate Change, we have the biggest houses in the world).

Transiting
Neptune is
45° to the
Australian Sun throughout 2009 and early 2010. This shows the Prime
Minister
(Sun) and the government indulging in dreams and plans, even losing
contact
with reality (all Neptune). The evidence is: their decision to spend
30% of
Australia’s income for one year on a “stimulus
package”, it is like
giving
alcohol to a drunk; our self appointed “world
leader” and egomaniac PM
Kevin
Rudd, running all over the world (he’s hardly ever here)
explaining
that he has
all the answers. In short, the Government has a distinct disinclination
to work
and is completely self-indulgent. In general terms, this shows that
many people
in Australia feel lost and greatly disappointed and disillusioned in
their
leaders. The demise (Neptune) of the Opposition Leader, the Sun rules
the 4th
house of the Opposition, is shown.
For the
next three years
or so,
transiting Saturn will be going through Australia's sixth house of
work, public
health, the armed forces and the public service. This usually relates
to hard
work for very little financial gain. In general terms, it shows the
nation is
tired and exhausted and will have a negative mindset. It is likely the
trade
union movement will be a very militant in this time. Serious concerns
may be
raised about public health, the Armed Forces and the Public Service.
High fresh
food prices will bring serious concerns.
Transiting
Pluto will be
135° from
the Australian Moon in 2010- 11. This may be indicating a
very strong opposition to
Australia and to
the Prime Minister Rudd, by the world community. National
defence
and
agriculture will become major issues.
Kevin Rudd will be under extreme pressure in May-June 2010 and we may find him literally brought to his knees. Serious career, family and even health issues could arise for him around this time. With Sun conjunct (0°) Mars in his horoscope, Rudd is volatile and hot-blooded.
PLUTO TRANSITING THROUGH THE AUSTRALIAN SATURN 2011-2012
I have researched the four times Pluto has transited through the Australia Saturn since Federation in 1901. They were hard times: transiting Pluto 180 degrees Australia Saturn between September 1919- June 21; transiting Pluto 135 degrees Australia Saturn between October 1952- June 1954; transiting Pluto 90 degrees Australia Saturn between October 1974- August 1975; transiting Pluto 45 degrees Australia Saturn between January 1992- August 1993.
Private debt levels in Australia are at record highs, about $48 000 per head, just a few thousand dollars less than in the USA! Housing prices have risen faster in Australia in the last 20 years than in the USA. The USA had a massive housing crash. Australia will go the same way.
A number of themes showed up during these times and they are likely to repeat themselves between 2011 and 2012 as transiting Pluto becomes conjunct (0 degrees) to the Australia Saturn.
Record rainfall is likely in the Murray-Darling and southern Australia. Unemployment is likely to rise (possibly dramatically). Nuclear energy may well become a major issue of debate. Unemployment, prices, inflation and interest rates are all likely to rise significantly.
By 2010, Australia now has the highest level of household debt (mortgages) compared to disposable income in the world! The Household Debt of Australians in 1980 was under 10% of GDP. In 2010 it had risen close to 100% of GDP. This means, on average, Australians have 10 TIMES more debt than they had in 1980. Australians are speculators and spendthrifts on a massive scale. eg The largest houses in the world! It is likely many Australian families, overwhelmed by debt, will lose their homes in 2011-12.
The federal government, or prime minister, will be under sustained attack by the opposition throughout 2011-12, as it was during 1975. There may be a double dissolution. PM Julia Gillard may well find herself or her government embroiled in a major scandal which will end her rule as “headmistress” of Australia and may well bring down the government. PM Julia Gillard talks to Australians in a very patronizing way, and slowly, as though she is lecturing primary school children who don’t know very much.
Transiting Uranus is beginning to go through the 12th house cusp of the Australian horoscope in 2011-12. This is heralding a difficult time with respect to areas such as prisons (possibly illegal immigrant numbers reaching crisis levels in detainment camps?), hospitals and homes for the aged. There could be significant changes in the work patterns of many Australians. There may also be unexpected enmity from nations previously considered friendly. It would be also expected that many more Australians than usual will be suffering from serious anxiety and nervous disorders. Health problems, such as depression caused by overwhelming debt levels, may arise which almost threaten to overwhelm the authorities at times.
Transiting
Pluto will be
conjunct
(0°) to the Australian Saturn throughout 2011-12. This will be
a
very difficult
time for Australia, almost as hard as it gets. This will be especially
so
throughout 2012. There is a danger of significant natural disasters
occurring,
such as a cyclone on the scale of Cyclone Tracy which destroyed Darwin
on
Christmas Eve 1974, or bushfires covering millions of hectares. There
is even a
danger of Australia being dragged into a foreign war (if the People say
nothing
to prevent it). Australia is in danger of finding itself
overwhelmed by a massive immigration flood, including
thousands of boat-people. This also
suggests
serious financial times for Australia, possibly a credit squeeze or a
very
serious recession and unemployment becoming a serious problem. Property
prices
(Saturn) could crash. There could be major government reforms (Saturn)
implemented. Will Big Business (Pluto) try to force nuclear power
stations upon
us?
Transiting
Neptune will
be conjunct (0°) the Australian 11th house cusp around 2011-12.
When transiting
Neptune was 180° from this point in 1929, rampant and foolish
(Neptune)
speculation (fifth house) caused Australia's greatest stock market
crash in
October 1929 and led to the Great Depression. I expect for several
years around
this time that there is once again the possibility of very severe
financial
times for the Australian economy. 1929 could be repeating itself again?
Yet another Australian Prime Minister will fall from power between mid-2011 and late 2012. This supported by the solar eclipse 180° from the Australian Sun and Saturn around mid-2011. Also, transiting Neptune will be 90° to the Australian Node between March 2011 and November 2012. Each time Neptune transits through the Australian Node the Prime Minister either loses an election or gets knifed in the back (classic Neptunian behaviour) by his party and is forced to resign.
JULIA GILLARD
HOROSCOPE AND PREDICTIONS FOR 2011
PM Julia Gillard’s horoscope for 2011 does not look good. Transiting Saturn and Neptune will be going through her Uranus between November 2010 and March and August 2011. This can indicate her getting extremely irritable and excitable with others, and may lead to a sudden illness or breakdown. The Neptune 180 degrees Uranus combination (May 2010 to December 2011) suggests Julia Gillard needs to withdraw from the influence of others (who write the rubbish she utters all the time). She will be very insecure and lack clarity and if she does not put on a clear and consistent attitude towards others, she may easily become the object of gossip and rumour. Gillard's MC (career) in her relocation chart for Canberra (as though she was born there at the same time as in Wales) is 20 Aquarius, the ruler being Uranus. So Neptune (out of control, undermining, water wearing away the cliff face, bad decisions) 180 degrees Gillard's Uranus will literally destroy her prime ministership in 2011. The Saturn 45 degrees Uranus combination (November 2010 to August 2011) shows she is striving to reach certain objectives but is facing considerable resistance and difficulties. It will take all her energy to overcome the obstacles without getting involved in conflicts and disputes with others. PM Julia Gillard will also have transiting Pluto 90 degrees from her Sun throughout 2011. In this time she is likely to overestimate her own abilities and should guard against being fanatical about things. Arrogant behavior is likely to be displayed by Julia Gillard and this may meet with a severe backlash which may well see her fall off her perch. Gillard's Sun is in her tenth house of career, so a forced (90 degrees) career change may well take place between July and November 2011. She may well separate from her partner this year. As I predicted above, she will be knifed in the back.
If Gillard somehow survives 2011 as prime minister, she will not survive January-mid March 2012. During this whole time, transiting Saturn will be very closely conjunct (0 degrees) to her Mars. This very same combination ended Kevin Rudd's prime ministership! All Gillard's intentions will be met with restistance, where events will occur beyond her personal control. She will be brought to her knees, as Rudd was.
Gillard's relocation chart for Canberra is telling. It shows Neptune within 3 degrees of her seventh house. This shows love relationships which dissolve and a place where she consatntly makes appalling decisions (pink batts, schools' halls scandal, etc)
PM Julia Gillard’s horoscope has some telling astrological aspects, in particular her ruthless eradication of rivals: Gillard’s Jupiter conjunct Saturn indicates: the attainment of far-reaching objectives through hard work and perseverance; a quick irritability with others; a tenacious pursuit of one’s plans. Gillard’s Venus conjunct Pluto shows: extraordinary power of sexual attraction; a fanatic in love and art. Sadly, she has Saturn 135 degrees from this combination, which amounts to a tragic love life. Julia Gillard also has Mars 45 degrees Pluto indicating: attaining one’s objectives by ruthless and brutal means; a powerful athlete with “balls”; she behaves like a man; she can easily lose her temper. PM Gillard has Mars 90 degrees Jupiter: the inclination to exaggerate; hastiness or premature action (we are seeing this all the time); a propagandist; a lawyer; managing director.

time, then as the major planets Pluto and Neptune go through the great
angles
(first, fourth, seventh and 10th house cusps) and the other house cusps
their
influence should be clear and strong.
War
The two
greatest threats
to Australia
came during World War I and World War II.
World
War I began on
5 August 1914 for
Australia. Transiting Neptune was at 29°
Cancer. By October 1914, transiting Neptune was at 0° Leo 27. This puts transiting Neptune
conjunct (0°) to
the Australian
IC (fourth house cusp). In
late July 1914, transiting Saturn
became
conjunct (0°) to the Australian Neptune. Transiting Saturn was
also
conjunct to
the Australian Neptune between September -- November 2002 and May 2003.
Stupidly and irresponsibly in March 2003, PM John Howard got Australia
involved
in the Iraq war.
World
War II began on
1 September 1939
for Australia. Transiting Pluto was at 2° Leo,
having just moved out of Cancer in late June 1939. This
puts transiting Pluto conjunct (0°) to the Australian IC
(fourth
house cusp).
What is
remarkable about
these two
catastrophic events in Australia's history, where so many of its brave
young
men died, is the fact that two great outer planets Neptune and Pluto
became
conjunct to the Australian IC (fourth house cusp of home and family )
when they
occurred. Neptune will only go through the Australian IC once every 165
years
or so, Pluto once every 248 years or so!
Neptune
amongst other
things rules
delusion and poisonous gases. As our young men went off to World War I,
they
thought going to war would be a big adventure. Many of them were killed
by mustard
gas.
Pluto
amongst other things
rules
birth and force majeure (overwhelming power). World War II heralded the
beginning of the Nuclear Age with the annihilation of the Japanese
cities of Nagasaki
and Hiroshima by atomic bombs in August 1945.
This is
stunning evidence
that
Australia's IC (4th
house cusp of home and family) is very
close to
1° Leo.

Throughout
1999, there was a massive push in Australia to declare itself a
Republic and
separate from the mother country Britain with the Queen no longer being

state. The 10th house rules the head of state, the government, national
prestige and the nation’s aim in life. All these things were
“on the
table”
during 1999. I believe that the great majority of the Australian People
wanted
a Republic. Prime Minister John Howard used subterfuge and dirty
tactics
(Neptune) to ensure that the question placed before the Australian
public in a
referendum would fail. The republican debate and the referendum itself
caused
the Australian people to take sides, for and against. It was arguably
the most
divisive (Neptune) issue in Australian politics in over a generation.
